Tyre Manufacturer BKT Working On Rs 2,000 Cr Expansion Plan In India

The company is eyeing at setting up a modern carbon black manufacturing facility at its plant in Bhuj, Gujarat.

In an offer to satisfy the expanding need of its items internationally, Balkrishna Industries Limited (BKT), an off-interstate tire producer, is taking a shot at a Rs 2,000 crore development plan in India.

The organization is peering toward at setting up a cutting edge carbon dark assembling office at its plant in Bhuj, Gujarat.

Arvind Poddar, CMD of BKT, stated, “The organization is chipping away at a Rs 2,000 crore development plan.”

At present, BKT’s offer in the rough terrain tire showcase in India is 7-8%. It is wanting to expand the offer to 15% in the following three to four years.

“The organization will move its Aurangabad plant to another area. The undertaking will be finished in year and a half at an expense of Rs 450 crore. The organization has five offices in Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Gujarat,” Poddar expressed.

He further included, “Amid the last monetary year 2017-18, the organization’s turnover remained at Rs 4,500 crore. We are expecting this will increment to Rs 5,000 crore amid the current money related year. We are expecting 10-15% development in the years to come.”

BKT is predominantly sending out its tires to Europe, America and Australia. Europe presently represents about 52% of its absolute fares.
